Empowering SMEs for Success

In the quest to prepare our SMEs and make them investor-ready, we provide the following business development services.

Business Needs Assessment

We conduct needs assessments for SMEs to enable us to understand the businesses’ current state and assess the needs or gaps between what the business seeks to achieve and its current state. These processes involve determining key business priorities, and improvements and
allocate resources and responsibilities. Through this, business owners are able to fully understand
and appreciate their venture and commit resources to enhance profitability.

Corporate Governance

We assist SMEs in maintaining a good corporate governance strategy as a necessary ingredient for growth. This not only reduces the risk of Mismanagement but also creates the necessary
environment for business growth. We offer holistic corporate governance advice and consulting, business workshops, Monthly Information Sessions, and tailor-made training aimed at preparing SMEs to comply with the accepted corporate governance structure for effective management
of the Venture. We also propose well-qualified Directors and experienced managers who will help
manage and implement a strategic plan for sustainable growth.

Investment Readiness and Business Plan Preparation

SMEs have become an increasingly attractive customer group. Traditionally, however, financial institutions in Ghana have been cautious with lending to SME groups because of high default rates and risks associated with the sector. Few banks have therefore an explicit policy for SME target groups taking the particular requirements and needs into consideration. We assist SMEs to meet these requirements by helping them restructure and rewrite a comprehensive business plan that is winning, and which shows clearly the lucrative opportunity the business is taking advantage of. In addition, Proper Cost, Revenue, and Cashflow projections are prepared to serve as demonstrative evidence to the financier or financial institution on the profitability of the business,
Market Research, Valuations, Business forecasts among others.

Technical Assistance

SMEs seem to be unaware of or oblivious to the obligations and responsibilities they have toward financial Institutions, and the need to acquire or seek support for technical assistance like accounting, management, marketing, strategy development, and establishment of business
linkages. Management and support services are perceived to be cost-prohibitive and non-value-adding.

New Africa Impact Fund through the “raise and helps these SMEs take advantage of these technical assistance services. The better you look as an investee the more likely your business will get funded. We make sure that businesses are well positioned within the 5Cs (Character, Capacity,
Capital, Conditions, and Collateral).
